Lake Weeks subdivision is a small gated community that lies on the North side of Lake Weeks with entrances off Old Hillsborough Avenue and a resident transmitter only gate on Lenna Avenue. This is a beautiful community to live in. The community is fortunate to have many grand old oak trees throughout the neighborhood, along with young oaks that were planted in the easements up and down every street to form a beautiful oak canopy as they mature.

The community has quite a few acres of “common ground” and two ponds are used and shared by all the residents of the community. Along with an abundance of wildlife, you can see children riding bikes, playing ball, flying kites or playing in their temporary “forts” made of twigs and moss in these “common areas. The Association has installed a couple of picnic tables under the oaks and park benches by the ponds for the residents’ enjoyment.

A handful of the lots are “lakefront” and those homeowners enjoy access to Lake Weeks from their own yards or docks. The rest of our residents only have a short drive outside the community to utilize the public boat ramp for access to Lake Weeks; one of only two public ramps in Hillsborough County.

Lake Weeks’ location is one of its best kept secrets. We are in the middle of strawberry farm country; but have easy access to I-4, I-75, Highway 92 and Highway 574. The community is away from the “main stream” but can get “there” faster then most of the other suburban neighbors!
